Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a food manufacturing company that is currently hiring for a Reliability Engineer, which is a critical role responsible for improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving maintenance excellence within a production environment. This position serves as a key partner to maintenance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal asset performance and operational efficiency.
This role has significant impact on equipment uptime, preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Reliability Engineer will lead root cause analysis efforts, oversee maintenance programs, and help build a culture of reliability and accountability across the maintenance team.
Reliability Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies in partnership with maintenance leadership and key stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues to maximize asset life, efficiency, and performance.
  • Conduct failure analysis on critical equipment and lead corrective and preventative action (CAPA) initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring failures.
  • Support quality assurance efforts for new equipment builds and modifications to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor downtime events and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment disruptions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing costs.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance technicians to foster a high-performance, reliability-focused culture.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators related to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintenance standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Support reliability-centered maintenance methodologies across the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support maintenance and operational objectives.

Reliability Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a meat, poultry, or USDA-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and best practices.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs and tools.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of OSHA and general safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience training and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Certifications in reliability engineering or maintenance management are a plus.

Pay Range: $110,000-$140,000 base
