The Technical Project Manager independently carries out large and small project and problem-solving assignments that involve a broad understanding of business, applications, and technologies.  Functions alone, as a participant on a team, or as team leader in carrying out assignments, depending on scope and complexity.  Typically involved with relatively urgent or important initiatives or a relatively short duration where speed of project or problem resolution is highly valued or critical to business operations.  Works with all levels of staff in and outside of the department, external parties, and others with occasionally high levels of ambiguity as it relates to issues, technologies, and organization.  Routinely functions as a critical problem solver.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of ARMC and AHMC. The employee shall support Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.  The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to;  Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or Business desirable.

In-depth, broad understanding of key information technologies.

High energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures and ambiguity.

Three to five years experience as an applications specialist, technical specialist, or similar experience.

Highly analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Three years of project management experience.

Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good leadership, supervision, and teamwork skills.
