Job description

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of End User Network initiatives across enterprise wired, wireless, and network access environments. This role partners closely with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Workplace Technology, Facilities, Telecommunications, and business stakeholders to successfully deliver projects that enhance employee connectivity, user experience, operational resilience, and network modernization.
The TPM serves as the primary coordinator for complex technical initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Success in this role requires a strong combination of project management discipline, technical understanding of enterprise networking, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and executive communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end project management for network infrastructure initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving wired, wireless, cellular/DAS, and network modernization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource forecasts.
  • Coordinate project activities across engineering, operations, vendors, facilities, security, and business partners.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, status reviews, steering committees, and executive updates.
  • Ensure successful implementation of projects while minimizing business disruption and operational risk.

Technical Program Coordination

  • Support delivery of enterprise networking initiatives such as:
    • Campus and branch network refreshes
    • Wireless workplace deployments
    • Aruba Central, Cisco, or cloud networking migrations
    • Network Access Control (NAC) enhancements
    • Cellular DAS and mobility projects
    • Network resiliency and redundancy improvements
    • Office relocations, expansions, and decommissions
  • Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans and business-aligned outcomes.

Risk & Change Management

  • Identify project risks, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive change management activities for network implementations and major infrastructure upgrades.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure appropriate testing, validation, rollback planning, and implementation readiness.
  • Monitor key delivery metrics and proactively address project issues before they impact timelines or business operations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with technical teams, business leaders, and external partners.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions in a clear, concise, and executive-ready manner.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making across diverse groups.
  • Ensure business requirements are captured, documented, and aligned with technical solutions.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers involved in network projects.
  • Track project budgets, purchase orders, and resource utilization.
  • Support contract reviews and renewals, equipment procurement, and lifecycle planning activities.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables meet quality, schedule, and performance expectations.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies and governance practices.
  • Develop project documentation, templates, playbooks, and reporting standards.
  • Promote consistency across project execution and operational handoffs.
  • Leverage project metrics and lessons learned to improve future project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering technology infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise networking initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and governance practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise wired and wireless network environments.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Cisco networking technologies
    • Aruba wireless and network management platforms
    • Network Access Control (ISE, ClearPass)
    • Cellular DAS and mobility solutions
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices.
  • Experience working within large enterprise environments.
