Job description

Company Description

SMPLY Brands is a leading U.S. manufacturer and distributor of high-performance wipes, paper towels, napkins, and tissue products for homes and facilities nationwide. The company focuses on quality, cost-effective pricing, and responsive support to help customers stay stocked, clean, and efficient. SMPLY Brands operates a strong domestic supply chain network, from sourcing sustainable raw materials to producing and distributing products nationwide. Its nationwide presence supports both individuals and businesses, including industrial facilities and foodservice operations, with reliable delivery and versatile cleaning solutions. Through private label and custom specification options, SMPLY Brands offers flexibility and value to align with customer goals.

Role Description

The Supply Chain Planning Manager owns demand, supply, and inventory planning for SMPLY Brands. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this role is accountable for the forecast, the purchase and production plan, and the inventory position that supports on-time fulfillment across the portfolio. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Franklin, TN, with flexibility for some work from home.

Day-to-day, the Supply Chain Planning Manager leads the S&OP cycle, runs the monthly demand review with sales, sets safety stock and replenishment strategy, and maintains the planning models and KPIs that support data-driven decisions. The role partners closely with operations, purchasing, and logistics, plans against manufacturing capacity, supports new product launches, and owns the planning process, reporting, and system configuration behind it all. Ensuring accurate master data and driving continuous improvement across planning workflows are central to the role.

This is a senior seat with real decision authority, not a coordination role. We will share additional detail on scope, operating cadence, and first-ninety-day expectations with candidates who advance.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years in supply chain planning, with direct ownership of a demand forecast and a purchase or production plan
  • Command of S&OP or IBP, including accountability for the published consensus number
  • Strong demand planning and production planning skills, managing forecasts, inventory, and capacity together
  • Strong analytical skills, with fluency in ERP and planning data and advanced Excel or comparable data tools
  • A background in supply chain management spanning manufacturing, distribution, and inventory practices
  • A track record of business process improvement across planning workflows
  • Sound judgment under constraint, and the confidence to make a call and stand behind it
  • Credibility with commercial counterparts, including the ability to challenge a sales forecast and keep the relationship
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods
  • A record of leading planning or supply chain projects end-to-end
  • ERP or planning system implementation experience
  • CPIM, CSCP, or CPF

How to Apply

A cover letter is required for this role. The most useful thing you can tell us about is a planning process, model, or system you built or rebuilt, and what changed as a result. A few paragraphs are plenty.

We review applications as they are received. We look forward to hearing from you.
