Job description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to administer and support our global data communications network. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing network systems, ensuring all designs are documented and supportable.
As the network expert, you will handle engineering, configuration, deployment, and maintenance across various technologies, including Azure, Campus, Plant LAN, Wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and Datacenter LAN. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, communicate maintenance and downtime, and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Key responsibilities include analyzing network needs, contributing to design and installation, leading project implementations, ensuring security compliance, and monitoring network performance.
This role is ideally based in a hybrid capacity near Mason, MI headquarters. For highly qualified candidates, we will also consider individuals located near our facilities in Leola, PA; Horse Cave, KY; Federalsburg, MD; or Atlanta, GA. Relocation assistance to Mason, MI is available for candidates interested in relocating*.

What you'll bring...
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in computer science, information systems, or related field of study and experience working in a multi-network, multi-protocol environment
  • Experience with Cisco ACI Implementation to include design and support operations
  • Cisco CCNP certification or Extensive advanced network routing and switching experience
  • Experience with OSPF/EIGRP/Spanning Tree protocols
  • Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols
  • Experience and comprehensive knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Cloud (Azure, AWS) networking, Routing and Switching, Security (Firewalls, Proxy technology), Wireless, Data Center, Video/Voice, SD-WAN
  • Experience implementing and operating a security architecture that secures all corporate enterprise network edges (both ingress and egress)
  • Experience creating and maintaining network topology, logical flow and other required documentation with Visio or equivalent tool
  • Strong understanding of network QOS methods, markings and mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated experience conducting research and resolving issues across a wide range of networking, telephony, video, security, and wireless issues
  • Experience with Network Sniffers to analyze data and resolve network issues
  • Experience analyzing network performance data to identify trends/potential problems and providing recommendations to modify and/or upgrade network equipment or services
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service orientation acting as a positive solution provider for all business and technical encounters
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • Ability to articulate technical and non-technical information to personnel with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel

Preferred:
  • Cisco CCIE certification
  • Cisco Central Platform Management experience
