Job Summary:
Venture Global LNG is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. They are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain high-availability LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments, while mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement LAN, WLAN, and WAN solutions that meet business requirements.
• Configure and install servers, routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Administer Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Design, test, and enforce access authentication, VPN, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Configure and manage Cisco core, WAN, and management switches, VLANs, and ASR platforms.
• Implement BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.
• Load Balancing & DNS
• Operate F5 load balancers and manage DNS services (Infoblox, Cisco DNS).
• Configure and manage Azure and AWS networking components (VPN, Gateway, NSG, routing).
• Monitor network performance and integrity using tools such as Logic Monitor and Live Action.
• Resolve escalated issues across cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Python, or Perl; monitor automation effectiveness.
• Mentor team members on technical issues.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Identify and recommend enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years in senior network engineering or administration roles.
• LAN/WLAN/WAN design and deployment

• Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Firewall and security best practices
• PowerShell, Python, Perl scripting

• Linux OS for network appliance support
• Advanced knowledge of Linux OS for appliance support
• VMware, Hyper‑V, and storage environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
• Experience with datacenter build and virtualization.
• Familiarity with access control models and network security frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred:
• CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
