Job description

Immense Networks is seeking a Level Two Technical Engineer with strong networking experience, excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and a solid background in Azure cloud services. This role will handle escalated technical issues, provide advanced troubleshooting, and assist with project-based work while ensuring high- quality IT support for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced remote and on-site networking and infrastructure support.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, or similar).

• Administer and troubleshoot Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based networking.

• Implement and manage Azure Virtual Machines, networking, and security policies.

• Respond to and resolve escalated technical support tickets in a timely manner.

• Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent recurring issues.

• Assist with network design, deployment, and upgrades for clients.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on IT projects, including Azure migrations, network redesigns, and cybersecurity enhancements.

• Document troubleshooting steps, client environments, and resolution processes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT support role.

• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewall configurations).

• Hands-on experience with Azure services (Azure AD, Virtual Networks, Intune, Virtual Machines).

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose complex IT issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).

• Experience working with firewalls and security policies (Fortinet).

• Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or Fortinet NSE4 (preferred but not required).
