Performance Improvement & Quality Analytics Specialist

The Performance Improvement & Quality Data Analyst leads continuous improvement efforts across primary care and behavioral health while managing key quality and population‑health data. The role applies improvement science to close performance gaps, collaborating with clinical and Information Technology (IT) teams, and overseeing measurement systems for regulatory, accreditation, and value-based reporting. It integrates analytics and improvement strategies to drive whole‑health quality outcomes.

Full-Time / Exempt

Salary range starts at: $65,000

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, data analytics, social sciences, nursing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare quality, analytics, performance improvement, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with data tools (Excel, EHR reporting tools, SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge of quality reporting requirements such as HEDIS, UDS, and outcome measurement.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate improvement initiatives with multidisciplinary teams.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

*Valid Driver’s license required with ability to transport others using company vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives across behavioral health and primary care using improvement science frameworks.
  • Support clinical leaders in identifying performance gaps and designing interventions to improve quality, safety, patient outcomes, and equity.
  • Coordinate and document improvement projects, including charters, workflows, Root Cause Analysis summaries, action plans, and follow-up monitoring.
  • Partner with program directors, care teams, and compliance staff to align improvement work with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with readiness for regulatory surveys and audits by monitoring quality control processes.
  • Promote a system-wide culture of continuous improvement and staff engagement in quality initiatives.
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and report key quality metrics, including but not limited to HEDIS, UDS, outcome measures, risk indicators, and health‑equity data.
  • Collaborating with IT to develop dashboards and data reports for clinicians, leadership, and external partners to support decision-making.
  • Monitor performance for value-based care contracts and assist the Billing Department in payer reporting, gap‑closure strategies, and care‑management insights.
  • Conduct ongoing surveillance of high-risk operational areas through data analysis, consistent with compliance best practices.
  • Provide data support for improvement projects, including baseline analysis, metric selection, ongoing monitoring, and outcome evaluation.
  • Maintain and enhance data integrity by reviewing documentation, coding accuracy, and clinical input fields.
