Job Overview

This critical leadership role drives the flawless execution of complex capital projects. By leading site expansion and capability enhancement initiatives, you will directly accelerate the company's aggressive growth strategy.

This role will manage projects using rigorous project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting, while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.

The focus is on CapEx initiatives, primarily supporting R&D and Manufacturing Operations in USA and Mexico.

This position reports to the Global EHSS and Facilities Director and will be on-site at our R&D Center in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • May oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage detailed budgets and schedules, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to maximize return on investment.
  • Work closely with the business finance and sites controllers to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.
  • Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Capital Request (CAPEX).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditure monthly.
  • Ensure successful commissioning of equipment and handover to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years minimum of project management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willing and able to travel 30-50%.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
