Job description

Examinetics is hiring an Operations Project Manager to join our team! This individual will be responsible for managing operations associated with scheduling, billing, time-keeping, report delivery and client engagement. The Operations Project Manager ensures the successful execution of all industrial hygiene, environmental, and occupational safety projects within the Cleveland Cliffs Indiana Harbor office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage work orders from assignment through project completion. Implement progress monitoring to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards and timeline requirements:
    • Assign technicians appropriately and ensure they are provided with all resources required for successful project completion.
    • Allocate adequate report time for client staff and monitor for completion.
    • Coordinate technical review with Center of Excellence to ensure QA process is adhered to & executed appropriately.
    • Submit final deliverable to client.


  • Staff Management: Maintain accurate staff utilization and scheduling for direct reports.
    • Collaborate with MW Operations Managers on staffing based on project requirements (technician skills & capabilities) and current staff utilization.
    • Attend regularly scheduled operational meetings.
    • Review and authorize timekeeping, PTO, and expenditure submissions for all direct reports in accordance with corporate policy.
    • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
    • Mentor CCIH staff and provide guidance to promote supportive work environment that aids in development of their knowledge and expertise.


  • Client Management: Collaborate with CCIH direct points of contact.
    • Maintain regular client communication to maintain strong relationships and address any client concerns.
    • Manage client vendor portal requirements (Track software) as necessary. Includes
      • Daily contract and pay number submittals
      • Weekly approvals and submittals
      • Monthly purchase order (PO) request
  • Equipment Management: Manage required equipment & media inventory and ensure required testing equipment is available in advance of testing events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in related field. (preferred but not required)
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience with employee management.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Skilled and proficient in Microsoft Office applications with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable driving within a large integrated steel mill environment.
  • Must possess and maintain current personal auto insurance and valid driver's license. Possession of a dependable personal automobile is required for consistent site access.
  • Ability to work standard day shift while remaining flexible for off-hours client contact and coordination as project needs dictate.
  • Ability to react and support evolving demands based on steel production schedule.
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry required.
    • IDEM Asbestos supervisor and building inspector (preferred but not required)
    • NIOSH 582 proficient analyst certification (preferred but not required)
