Job Summary:
The CCS Companies is seeking a Network Administrator to manage and support their network infrastructure. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software while ensuring high security and reliability of the network operations.
Responsibilities:
• Installs and configures network hardware and software.
• Monitors, maintains, repairs, and upgrades network infrastructure hardware and software.
• Ensures the network provides a high degree of security for the organization and its users.
• Performs routine configuration tasks such as VLAN changes, access-list updates, and basic firewall/VPN adjustments under guidance.
• Monitors and responds to network and security alerts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Resolves assigned tickets related to networking and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Provides support to the help desk by troubleshooting and escalating network-related problems.
• Participates in on-call rotation for off-hour support.
• Researches, prices and implements new technologies to support the information technology program.
• Assists team members, interdepartmental staff and clients in a professional and efficient manner.
• Collaborates with IT team members to ensure reliable day-to-day network operations.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned by manager/supervisor.
• Ability to maintain a consistent and regular attendance in accordance with an established schedule.
• Ability to work onsite/in-office and in accordance with CCS and department policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2 years’ experience and is able to demonstrate high proficiency in Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco Operating Systems.
• 2 years’ experience and has working knowledge of LAN/WAN design, configuration, implementation and maintenance.
• 2 years’ experience of TCP/IP networking protocols, VPN configuration and implementation, including remote access and L2L.
• 2 years’ experience with WAF technologies, web-filtering software and security modules.
• Working knowledge of design, implementation and maintenance of LANs and WANs.
• Able to function in a highly organized manner while managing time and priorities effectively.
• Must have a strong understanding of enterprise networks and how decisions or changes affect the enterprise network.
• Must demonstrate practical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledgeable of industry best practices.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Industry Recognized Security-Related Certification Combined with Experience will be considered.
