Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Researching, developing, and implementing solutions for daily operational issues and forward-looking network evolution.
* Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network testing and operations, including attending meetings to discuss project status and changes.
* Managing the local network test environment, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, and VOIP phones.
* Creating and updating complex documentation and diagrams for all projects and configuration changes made to the network.
* Maintaining and developing changes involving firewalls across multiple vendors, routers, switches, TACLANES, Solarwinds, GEM One, Nexus switches, vPC, and Hyper-V server environments.
* Working through security STIGs to determine and implement compliance for all devices and configurations.
* Creating and tracking Service Requests in the Service Management Tool to coordinate facility installation activities, while collaborating with outside agencies for resources, quotes, and training. Minimum Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years of direct/related experience is required. An additional 2 years' experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
* An active/valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification with a background in providing technical support in a customer service role.
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL operating systems administration, associated hardware, and virtualization technologies.
* Working knowledge of CISCO network, switching, Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies, alongside data backup methodologies.
* Working knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) policies, integration, and a clear familiarity with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
* Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, System Security Policy, and current relevant experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments/systems.
* Experience solving technical problems quickly, automating repetitive processes, utilizing WSUS and/or YUM patch deployment, and applying industry standards within an enterprise-level Windows environment. Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
* Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
* Willingness to submit to a Polygraph if requested Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations."
* Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
