Job Description:

  • A Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is responsible for working on a shift of 4-5 Techs/Engineers at a time, minimizing system downtime, performing real-time network surveillance, notifying customers of scheduled and unscheduled outages, and more.
  • The Network Operations Center (NOC) serves as the first point of contact for the customer on all system and network-related issues.
  • Since the Network Operations Center is a 24X7 operation, these positions require shift work. This may require weekends.
  • Ensure customers are updated in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Problem reporting and resolution.
  • Follow predefined escalation processes.
  • Progress customer issues/customer advocate.
  • Perform daily routine checks on the system.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the NOC Manager and Director.


Ideal Candidate:


Someone that is passionate and relentless when it comes to resolving customer issues with the career aspiration of growing into a network engineer. The ideal candidate must be self-driven in learning new topics and can pick up new technology independently but has a team mindset always looking out for the team's best interest. It is expected that each candidate will excel to the next tier within the first 2 years of employment. Please do not apply if all of the above statements do not apply to you!

Requirements:
  • 1 year+ in a customer support environment
  • 1 year+ working with a ticketing system
  • CCNA or Comptia Network+
  • proven track record of customer satisfaction
  • strong professional written/oral communications
  • proven mastery of basic networking/troubleshooting concepts without the need of studying
  • positive/flexible / no quit attitude
