While we are headquartered in Orlando area, Cardiovascular Associates of America is a remote organization supporting Cardiovascular groups in eight states.  Our aim is to bring the best cardiovascular physicians into one network with the common mission of saving lives, reducing costs, and improving patient care through clinical innovation. Through CVAUSA’s physician-centered practice management model, physicians drive clinical care and their practice culture, while benefiting from the business expertise and shared resources available through CVAUSA for better patient outcomes.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Tampa based area individual that is an inspiring and motivated leader who will lead several Cardiology Practices with oversight of operations with complete accountability for approximately $30-$50MM P&L.  You will provide strategic and tactical leadership to counsel and provide direction to the practice leadership to ensure practice operations which is efficient, growth oriented, profitable and focused on quality ethical patient care.
This role position identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, monitors practice performance and works closely with its Physician and Executive Leadership to develop competitive strategies` in alignment with CVAUSA mission and values. This role has practice budget and P&L accountability and is a key member of CVAUSA operations management team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some specific examples include:
  • Address top growth priorities, patient census and lead successful operational conversions on acquisitions.
  • You will be measured on key metrics and outcomes you are able to drive from the book of business you inherit.
  • Develop and execute strategic operating plans and goals for assigned practices.
  • Achieve if not perform better than budget goals.
  • Review, analyze, and address gaps in service excellence, policies, and/or procedures proactively; identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Manage financial and revenue growth, operations, and labor management, contract management, and clinical outcomes within the assigned division facilities.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of competition; proactively assess related SWOT (division strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats).
  • Work directly with practice leadership to identify concerns to drive towards “best practices” goals and standards.
     
Financial & Performance Management
  • Own profit and loss (P&L) accountability for all clinics within the assigned region.
  • Develop annual budgets and closely monitor monthly financial variances.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including provider productivity metrics and patient volumes.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to maximize billing workflows and reduce claim denials.
  • Implement value-based care initiatives to reduce overall care costs while maintaining quality.
Staff & Provider Relations
  • Mentor and evaluate local practice leadership and succession planning to build a robust leadership pipeline.
  • Optimize staffing models to balance administrative and clinical support with provider schedules.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that respects and preserves physician clinical autonomy.
  • Oversee onboarding workflows for newly integrated physicians, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
  • Enforce strict compliance with HIPAA mandates, OSHA regulations, and federal healthcare laws.
  • Support clinical trial protocols and research data workflows at participating sites.
  • Oversee facility accreditation for specialized on-site diagnostic testing and imaging suites.
  • Direct risk management programs to proactively resolve patient grievances and improve satisfaction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s or MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years as a supervisor/leader in operations with 2+ years in multistate environments.
  • Solid relatable experience working alongside physician partners in an integrated network model.
Knowledge & Skills
  •  Strong leadership acumen and team development skills.
  • Prior P&L management experience with demonstrated financial expertise.
  • Experience in a matrix organization managing multiple priorities across stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel, with intermediate proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
