Position Overview

KēSTA I.T. is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale enterprise network environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable network infrastructure across data center, branch, and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in modern data center networking architectures, advanced routing technologies, cloud-managed networking solutions, and network automation. This position offers the opportunity to contribute both strategically and technically, helping drive network modernization initiatives while supporting critical business operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer who enjoys both hands-on technical execution and long-term infrastructure planning in a complex enterprise environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Support and enhance data center network infrastructure utilizing modern architectures and technologies.
  • Lead or participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging networking technologies and solutions.
  • Contribute to long-term network strategy, modernization efforts, and infrastructure roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Support enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity services across multiple environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues while serving as a senior escalation point for critical incidents.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.
  • Document network configurations, standards, procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Network Engineering within complex enterprise environments.
  • Significant experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise data center networks.
  • Strong experience with Spine-Leaf network architectures utilizing VXLAN and EVPN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Cisco Nexus networking platforms.
  • Advanced expertise in enterprise routing and switching technologies.
  • Extensive experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
  • Experience supporting cloud-managed networking solutions, including:
  • SD-WAN
  • Enterprise Switching
  • Wireless Networking
  • Strong experience administering Cisco Meraki environments.
  • Experience leveraging automation and scripting technologies to support complex network environments, including:
  • Python
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site in Midvale, Utah.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
  • Experience supporting public cloud environments, including:
