Job description

NAVA Software solutions is looking for a Monitoring Engineer
Details:
Monitoring Engineer
Duration: 3 months
Location: Remote (EST Time)
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the migration of our existing monitoring coverage based on the current configuration
  • Under limited direction, expand and enhance monitoring, alerting, and reporting on our newly migrated platforms
  • Participate in requirements gathering & scope discussions for applications or platforms being migrated that do not already have effective monitoring coverage
  • Assist in the development, deployment, and refinement of monitoring standards

Required
  • 3-5 years of experience required (5+ Preferred)
  • Work experience should indicate previous experience in at least 2 of the following areas
          • Log Monitoring
          • Infrastructure Monitoring
          • Application & Performance Monitoring
          • Network & Wire Monitoring
  • A successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and a motivation to achieve best-in-class results
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:
          • Splunk
          • Dynatrace
          • Moogsoft
  • Previous experience developing, deploying, and refining Dashboards, Alerts, & Reports.
  • A strong knowledge of the relationship between software and hardware interaction
  • The ability to interact with external and internal clients for the purpose of data gathering and design initiation
  • Strong writing & documentation skills are required.

Desired:
  • Financial industry experience
  • Knowledge of software development would be beneficial

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science or other equivalent field is required.
