Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco networking, routing and switching, wireless technologies, and cloud networking concepts. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the flexibility to travel between office locations as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Support Cisco routing, switching, and wireless network environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network access points and wireless connectivity solutions.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Assist with Azure and AWS networking configuration and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure reliable network operations.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and change activities using ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Perform network upgrades, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Provide onsite support and travel between the downtown Chicago and Lake Forest office locations as required.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous network improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Cisco Routing and Switching
    • Cisco Network Infrastructure
    • Wireless Networking and Access Points
    • Network Troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of Azure and AWS networking concepts.
  • Experience using Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-based, multi-location environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
