Job description

Location: Albuquerque, NM (Hybrid Flexibility with travel requirements)

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implementation: Evaluate, design, and implement network infrastructure with a focus on OSI Layer 2 and 3 protocols, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Configuration & Management: Configure and manage switches, wireless access points, and routers to maintain efficient data flow across the network.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures such as VLANs, ACLs, and firewall rules to protect network integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize network traffic for efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, IP subnets, changes, and procedures for easy reference and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications, fostering a cohesive technological environment.
  • Upgrades & Patches: Plan and execute network upgrades and patches, ensuring the latest features and security updates are applied.
  • Compliance: Ensure network infrastructure meets industry standards and complies with relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with networking equipment and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience in multi-vendor firewall configuration, with Palo Alto experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing multi-vendor switches and wireless solutions, with a preference for HPE, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of IPv4, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, VPNs, and other related network technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Compensation: $108k-$138k, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performancebased bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
