Job Summary:
Computer Futures is a leading IT recruitment consultancy, specialising in placing IT experts in permanent and contract roles across Asia, Europe and the US. They are seeking an Application Implementation Engineer to design, implement, and support Business Applications as part of the AD&S Business Applications group.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for upgrading key business applications resulting from annual lifecycle activities. This includes:
• Technical design for the upgrades.
• Installation, configuration and documentation for the upgrades.
• Coordination and lead of the technical teams required to assist with the upgrades (other teams include: DBAs, Security, Software Packaging, etc)
• Coordination of end-user UAT activities and technical change management
• Production migration planning and execution
• Burn-in support (1-2 weeks after go-live)
• Handoff and knowledge transfer of the ongoing support model
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a non-degreed professional with ten (10) years of relevant experience
• Strong technical expertise and knowledge in Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, SQL Server or Oracle
• Installing, configuring and supporting various business applications on dedicated or shared application servers
• General knowledge of web services and web infrastructures, ie..IIS
• General knowledge of network technologies
• Strong skills in Action Orientation – Results driven; multitasking
