Job Summary:
MANTECH is seeking a motivated Network Engineer II to join their team in Crane, Indiana. The role involves designing and implementing complex network solutions, optimizing network performance, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance the effectiveness of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement complex network solutions that drive innovation
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve advanced network issues quickly and efficiently
• Optimize network performance and security to meet the highest standards
• Mentor junior network engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering growth
• Participate in strategic planning to shape the future of our network infrastructure
• Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks
• Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability
Qualifications:
Required:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent education and years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
• Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
• Experience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutions
• Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred:
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalent
• Master’s Degree
• Knowledge of automation and scripting tools like Python or Ansible
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Project management skills to lead initiatives from start to finish
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical projects
