Powering the Interior of Alaska, GVEA contributes to the economic, environmental, and social vitality of the communities we serve.YOUR ROLE AS A SYSTEMS & NETWORK ENGINEERAs a Systems & Network Engineer, you'll design, implement, secure, and maintain the technology infrastructure that supports GVEA's electric utility operations. Working alongside experienced engineers and IT professionals, you'll support enterprise and industrial networks, server environments, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity systems that keep our business and critical infrastructure running.You'll contribute to projects involving network and server administration, communications infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, and cybersecurity while troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring system performance, supporting disaster recovery, and implementing new technologies. As you progress through the Engineer I, II, and III levels, you'll take on increasing responsibility for infrastructure design, technical leadership, and strategic technology planning.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFULSuccessful candidates combine strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
