MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in installing, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure.
Support the network architecture running crucial analytic applications.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of various network appliances and infrastructure hardware for ensuring system availability and reliability.

Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software associated operating systems.

Analyzes and implements DOS Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure the security of the network architecture.

Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.

Provides input on new or existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to network administration.

Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
