Job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a critical customer engagement focused on hybrid cloud networking, network automation, and infrastructure reliability.

This role is ideal for an experienced network engineer who is proficient in cloud. The successful candidate will work closely with the cloud platform engineering team and customer stakeholders to ensure project success from initial definition through final delivery.

What your application must clearly show
We screen against the requirements below exactly as written - your resume should make these easy to find:

  • Hands-on Google Cloud networking depth: VPC, VPN, Interconnect, load balancing, firewall policies.
  • Advanced Terraform - module design/refactoring; JSON-driven hydration module work is a strong plus.
  • Azure networking familiarity, especially VNet management.
  • Your Google Cloud and networking certifications, named, with dates.
  • Experience designing or operating hybrid (on-premise to cloud) network architectures.

Shortly after you apply you will receive a short role-specific questionnaire - completing it promptly is the fastest way to move into screening.

Required Credentials:

  • Google Cloud certifications.
  • Networking certifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of Azure networking (especially VNet management).
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, load balancing, firewall policies).
  • Advanced expertise in Terraform, specifically with the ability to build and refactor JSON-driven hydration modules.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, install, maintain, and administer infrastructure systems (hardware, software, and configurations).
  • Proactive performance monitoring, issue identification, and root cause analysis on failed components.

Useful Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating Terraform with Bluecat for automated CIDR range provisioning.
  • Hands-on experience with Spacelift for infrastructure delivery and workflow automation.
  • Experience using Network Connectivity Center.

Scope and Solution Expectations:

The contractor is expected to design and operate hybrid networking architectures that bridge on-premise environments with Google Cloud. Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting complex routing, DNS, and load balancing issues.
  • Building and managing infrastructure via Terraform.
  • Designing secure network architectures, including segmentation and firewall policies.
  • Automating repetitive tasks to improve overall system reliability.
