Job description

Gauge Engineering Services is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support network design & implementation for cutting-edge Missile-Defense Systems. Location: Moorestown, NJ Key Responsibilities
• Architect, design, and maintain software defined networks for use with mission systems of ground-based and maritime systems
• Deployment of Red Hat Linux Operating System
• Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure classified environments, ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Perform, monitor, and troubleshoot network performance (layers 1-4)
• Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation; mentor junior engineers Required Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure
• Experience with the architecture, design, and maintenance of software defined networks
• Thorough understanding of Spine-leaf architecture
• In-depth knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
• Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast) Preferred Qualifications
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification

• Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash and Python
