Job Overview
Job Title: Enterprise SATCOM / Network Administrator
Job Location: Hill AFB, UT
Job Responsibilities
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for an experienced and cleared Enterprise SATCOM / Network Administrator to join our team on-site on Scott AFB, IL. This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS), providing worldwide 24/7/365 technical and operational support to tactical customers accessing DoD Gateway facilities.
  • Create and update tickets utilizing DISA ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution in all aspects of the network integral to our clients Baseband, IF and RF communications.
  • Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
  • Perform IP network support to include configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and voice equipment.
  • Perform IP satellite modem support to include configuration and issue of option/boot/RSP files.
  • Remotely access and de-access customers into the IP/SATCOM networks.
  • Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues.
  • Verify equipment is operating in the baseline configuration.
  • Remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways utilizing the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements,US Citizenship is required.
  • Moderate IP/Networking experience including routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, RIP), VLANs, ACLs, and multicasting.
  • Knowledge and experience with satellite communications technology architectures.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ce or equivalent) - MANDATORY to start.

Desired Qualification
  • CCNA/CCNP certifications.
  • Experience with iDirect/Linkway IP Modems.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of MILSATCOM earth terminal equipment (up/down converters, modems, high power amplifiers).
  • Familiarity with the operation of encryption devices such as KG-250, KG-250x, KIV-7HS, KIV-7M, KG-175.

Education
  • High school diploma.
