Lead Network Engineer

Transform technology into opportunity as a Lead Network Engineer at GDIT. Shape whats next for mission-critical coalition network projects across the globe while shaping whats next for your engineering career.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Lead Network Engineer you will help ensure that today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

  • Provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of coalition network engineering and service delivery.

  • Manage and prioritize coalition network needs and analyze project costs and feasibility

  • Keep well-informed of NATO FMN standards, new technologies and industry best practices when developing coalition network support plans

  • Analyze customer's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications

  • Guide network development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of network engineering management plans and network integration and test plans

  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility

  • Responsible for long-term planning, including circuit forecasts, traffic studies, and other coalition network performance criteria

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of experience leading complex coalition network engineering efforts

  • Ten (10) years of experience leading the development, implementation, and

  • maintenance of coalition enterprise IT service programs, including multinational

  • interoperability, cybersecurity compliance, and mission-critical network support

  • Proficiency in applying Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), managing network access controls and implementing boundary protection

  • Extensive, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting scalable, multi-domain architectures

Education:

  • A bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

  • (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution, preferably in engineering, computer science, IT, mathematics, or a related field

Certification and Training Requirements:

  • A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise certification (or higher)

  • A CCNP Service Provider and/or CCNP Data Center certification

  • IAT-IIIbaseline certification: SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP

Security Clearance:

  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
