Job description

Job Title: Network Cloud Testing Engineer
Location :Alpharetta City, GA

Position Description:
This position is a highly skilled Cloud Network Test Engineer role with deep knowledge of IPV6 and hands-on experience across Public Cloud Infrastructures, AWS, Azure and GCP. 
Candidates focus must be developing the lab testing frameworks, validating  expected test performance on the IPV6 and dual-stack networking in cloud-native and enterprise environments. 
The ideal candidate will design test strategies and ensure compliance with IPV6 readiness standards across public clouds. 
The position requires coordination with other teams in gathering certification requirements, translating those requirements into a detailed test plan, executing them in coordination with other team members in a live lab environment. This entails troubleshooting, code/ platform lifecycle mgt, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems. 
The work involves close coordination across BU technologists in translating their network needs from business requirements, providing escalation support to network operations in validating bugs/vulnerabilities/work arounds in the lab, providing solutions, documenting the exposure/impact and presenting to the ENS forum for approval and assisting Operations in piloting those solutions in production environment.
This role will drive the IPV6 validation across multi cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructures, develop sophisticated test automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation tools. The responsibilities include testing network DMZ designs and certifying the underlying hardware, software features and enhancing overall security posture of the network. The candidate would be required to identity various communication scenarios and create & execute and/ or oversee the testing, do the related data gathering and analytics capabilities and prepare related design and deployment templates. 
 
The successful candidate would have a deep understanding and hands-on experience on Routing and Switching of Cisco platforms, IPV6, on-prem and cloud-based infrastructures and related security/ hardening aspects.  Candidate is expected to be well versed in Cisco IOS-XE/ XR/ NXOS products, general network hygiene best practices, security and availability with understanding network security aspects and trends.  The candidate will be collaborating with highly skilled infrastructure engineers and architects from across multiple verticals (e.g. cloud/ compute/ security/ telemetry/ desktop engineering teams/ security architects et al) and senior management often on a day-to-day basis. It is absolute imperative that he/ she has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Skills Required:
Strong experience with LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and feature testing/ certification.
CCIE/CCNP certified or equivalent  Level of experience
AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, or GCP cloud Network Engineer certifications are desired.
Experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure, AWS). Well versed in cloud networking solutions, understanding of cloud compute and related cloud operating models.
Must have understanding:
AWS constructs like VPC IPV6 addressing, Internet Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53
Azure: VNet IPv6, Azure Load balancer, IPV6 Express Route, NSGs, Azure Network Watcher
GCP: Cloud Routers, Google Access for IPv6, Cloud NAT64, Interconnect, VPC Flow Logs
IPV6 Networking and validation experience.
Experience with building Lab designs, and certification of hardware and software of products, performing PoCs.
Strong knowledge of Networking technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs, VxLAN, Multicast
Well versed  in DMVPN, IPSEC and Encryption Standards, Network Security
Experience on Cisco IOS-XE, Nexus Devices.
Python Network programming knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge in Agile process is a plus
Work under minimal supervision
Experience in using test tools like Ixia/Spirent/ iperf, Latency generators a big plus
Network traffic analysis, able to read pcaps, Wireshark
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Collaborate and co-ordinate with Network and Security teams, and vendors.
