Job description

Job Summary:
F2Onsite is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Network Installation Technician to install, configure, and support network infrastructure during overnight maintenance windows. This role involves deploying network equipment in customer environments while minimizing disruption to business operations and coordinating with remote engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
• Install and rack network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related hardware
• Perform structured cabling installation and patching (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber where applicable)
• Mount and secure equipment in racks, cabinets, and network closets
• Follow installation diagrams, work orders, and engineering documentation
• Label and organize cabling according to standards
• Perform basic network connectivity testing and validation
• Coordinate with remote engineers for configuration, troubleshooting, and verification
• Document work completed including photos, serial numbers, and installation notes
• Ensure installations meet safety, quality, and customer standards
• Maintain tools and equipment required for network deployments
• Communicate clearly with project managers and technical teams regarding project status
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience installing network hardware or IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with rack and stack procedures
• Basic understanding of network equipment (routers, switches, patch panels)
• Experience with structured cabling and labeling standards
• Ability to follow technical diagrams and installation instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organization
