Job description

  • Build and secure physical and logical communication backbones connecting utility-scale clean energy facilities to corporate systems and the grid
  • Operate as the primary on-site technical authority for greenfield infrastructure deployments
  • Deploy and configure industrial switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and routing infrastructure across new clean energy sites
  • Establish IT/OT network segmentation architectures following industry best practices and NERC CIP controls
  • Administer secure remote access solutions, including Site-to-Site VPNs, ZTNA, and dedicated jump servers
  • Integrate and manage OT Network Intrusion Detection Systems and CrowdStrike endpoint protection across remote locations
  • Diagnose and resolve industrial network issues affecting SCADA Ignition connectivity, RTU telemetry, and field sensors
  • Optimize site-level network performance, manage bandwidth, and validate failover
  • Lead on-site commissioning and integration, directing vendor activities and physical network handoffs
  • Collaborate with IT, SCADA, and Field Operations on standardized network configuration, documentation, and monitoring procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent industrial field experience
  • 5+ years of network and infrastructure engineering experience focused on OT, industrial control systems, or utility environments
  • Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto, Cisco, and Hirschmann network hardware
  • Experience implementing IT/OT segmentation standards, including the Purdue model
  • Experience managing S2S VPN, ZTNA, and jump-server remote access architectures
  • Experience troubleshooting SCADA/Ignition network communication layer issues
  • Direct experience deploying Nozomi, Claroty, or Dragos OT threat detection platforms
  • Experience with CrowdStrike endpoint detection
  • Self-directed operational mindset and ability to act as primary technical authority on project sites
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
