Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Location: Onsite Graniteville, SC, US
Employment Type: Permanent
Compensation: As per Exp.
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Modified DuPont schedule) or 4x10 schedule

Position Summary

We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations in a 24/7 high-volume production environment. This role is essential to ensuring continuous equipment reliability, safety, and optimal performance in our tire manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Area Maintenance Supervisor, this technician will partner closely with the engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow and promote all company safety protocols and practices (VPP site Safety First).

  • Partner with engineering teams to install, test, and release new equipment.

  • Record maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:

    • Industrial production equipment

    • Processing systems

    • Pipeline distribution systems

    • Conveyors

  • Troubleshoot and repair various systems:

    • PLC systems (Allen Bradley experience preferred)

    • Networking & communications: EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet

    • AC drives, motors, encoders, resolvers

    • Flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic results.

  • Use hoists, lifts, grinders, hand/power tools, welding, and testing equipment.

  • Inspect machine parts for wear or damage and test running machinery.

  • Conduct equipment rebuilds and component-level repairs as needed.

  • Support automation, control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
  • Must be Multi-Craft qualified (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant industrial maintenance role, or 3 years' experience with an Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance.

  • Willingness and availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (Modified DuPont schedule).

  • Ability to support both day and rotating shift teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Skills)
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs

  • Familiarity with 480 Volt and 3-Phase Motors

  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Exposure to distributed control systems and automation
