Job description

Job Title: Electrical Foreman

Job Description

This role oversees and performs electrical installation work on new commercial and industrial construction projects. The Electrical Foreman installs, routes, and terminates electrical and network cabling, conduits, lighting, and devices while ensuring work meets quality, safety, and schedule expectations. MUST be able to RUN AND BEND conduit by yourself up in a lift.

Responsibilities

  • Install, route, and secure electrical and network cabling in commercial and industrial new construction environments.
  • Run EMT, rigid, and PVC conduits from ½ inch to 4 inch, using both manual and power threading and bending equipment.
  • Set up and pull cables and conductors through conduit using manual and powered pulling methods.
  • Install and terminate lighting fixtures and various wiring devices as directed.
  • Perform electrical terminations on panels, equipment, and control systems under direction and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Use power tools and equipment safely and correctly by following safety and operational manuals.
  • Interpret and follow instructions from supervision, completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and use personal hand tools required for electrical and cabling work.
  • Work overtime when required, including on short notice when project needs demand.
  • Follow all site safety requirements, including proper use of PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe footwear, and high-visibility vest.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience performing electrical and network cable work in commercial and/or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial construction electrical work, including bending conduit and pipe.
  • Proficiency in running EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit from ½ inch to 4 inch using manual and power threading and bending equipment.
  • Ability to set up and pull cables and conductors in conduit using manual and powered means.
  • Ability to install and terminate lighting and various wiring devices as directed.
  • Skill in performing electrical terminations on panels, equipment, and control systems.
  • Ability to use power tools safely and effectively by following safety and operational manuals.
  • Ability to follow direction from supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Possession of appropriate personal tools for electrical and cabling work.
