Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineering, RC-135 Computer Systems Administrator (CSA) for our location at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, supporting the USAF's RC-135 mission aircraft and its related ground support systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides support for all RC-135 operational and ground training missions by preparing and recovering mission software loads.
  • Conducts recoveries of all missions by extracting critical data for customer use.
  • Provides Ground Data Processing System (GDPS) operations support, data import/export operations and mission data archiving.
  • Assists with GDPS hardware and software malfunction isolation, and configuration for special operations modes and testing as required.
  • Manages GDPS daily operations and make recommendations to correct system anomalies.
  • Responsible for GDPS database and software configuration control, and login/password security controls.
  • Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS.
  • Must be able to work various shifts.
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs and ascend/descend ladders up to 5% of the time.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance and pass a CI polygraph within the first year.
  • Ability to obtain DoD IAT level II certification or higher within six months ie CompTIA Security+.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in IT/computer systems experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer hardware and software performance, sustainment, and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and recovering mission software loads.
  • Demonstrated experience with data import/export operations and mission data archiving.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience or qualification with the current RC-135 mission systems or equivalent platform or systems.
  • Programming experience with Linux shell scripting, MySql, PHP, Perl, Java and HTML.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification.
  • Familiarity with LINUX and UNIX-based operating systems using command line and Oracle database administration.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
