Network Solutions Architect

The Opportunity:

An exceptional opportunity exists for a Solution Architect with a strong background in designing, deploying, and optimizing complex enterprise network infrastructures. In this role, you will develop solution architecture (SA) and resolve complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support, and project supervision. You will apply advanced advisory skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

What You'll Work On:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise network and wireless solutions.
  • Design, configure, and maintain foundational network services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Design and deploy wireless LANs using HPE Aruba technologies, including ClearPass, EdgeConnect, and AirWave.
  • Develop and enforce security architectures using Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
  • Develop detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to network design and performance.
  • Provide expert guidance during troubleshooting, network migrations, and performance tuning efforts.
  • Ensure designs meet high availability, security, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise standards, policies, and procedures for network architecture.
  • Lead clients' engagements and interactions.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture
  • Experience designing complex wireless network for the DoD
  • Experience designing and securing networks with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience designing and deploying DoD-compliant implementations of PKI, DNS, DHCP, or NTP
  • Experience with cloud networking, including Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance standards
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, 802.1X, SD-WAN, and wireless RF design
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies such as Aruba EdgeConnect and orchestrator
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with RF engineering and systems integration
  • Experience with test procedures and test reports
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python and Ansible
  • Master's degree in CS or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
