Job description

The Technology Services Operations Intern will work on a team that oversees the installation, routine maintenance, upgrades, and daily support of network, server, and storage software. You will assist in the day-to-day operation of Workiva’s systems and constantly look for ways to better meet internal customer needs.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Review system performance consistently, including alerts and notices, and take appropriate action quickly to prevent downtime
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain end-user computing and telecommunication systems
  • Assist the Operations team through various activities, such as facilitating change management meetings, assembling knowledge documents, and helping with operations projects

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Network Administration, Accounting, or a related field of study

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly triage problems, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution
  • Experience with AWS, networks, or servers

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
