Job description

Core4ce is looking for a Network Administrator to join the team. The Network Administrator will configure, install, and support network hardware and software infrastructure. The candidate will ensure that all network equipment complies with industry and corporate standards as well as conduct routine preventative measures and implement and maintain network security and ensure security compliance. This role will be responsible for the planning and implementation of future IT development projects and undertaking project work including project management duties.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified network hardware and systems
  • Managing accounts and network rights
  • Configures network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and virtual devices in VMware
  • Analyzes and resolves faults, ranging from major system crash to a forgotten password
  • Ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintaining systems configuration
  • Managing the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements
  • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
  • Positions either on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift - the shift hours are 1st - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, and 3rd - 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (the following day).
  • This position is for second shift with the potential to move shifts in the future.ย 

This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance or eligible ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8570 IAT Level II Certification and CND Infrastructure Support within 6 months
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and other network technologies including Palo Alto and Cisco Firewalls
  • Experience with LAN/WAN, VPN, IPS and associated technologies
  • Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic
  • Understanding of essential network services such as DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP, and SNMP
