Job description

Come join our awesome team as a Dietary Assistant with The Preserves! 

The Preserve is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare subsidiary of the Volunteers of America parent organization. Located on the corner of Plantation Road and 6 Mile Cypress Parkway in beautiful Fort Myers, we provide Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Care Services (Post-Acute Rehabilitation & Long-term care).

Hourly Pay:$15.60-$16.64 per hour based on experience

Shift: PRN/On Call available

    The Dietary Assistant is responsible for assisting with meal preparation, interacting with residents, serving meals, and keeping the dietary area sanitary.

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Must be willing to work in a Healthcare /Senior Living environment that is taking precautions for COVID-19.
    • No experience is required, training will be provided.
    • Ability to read and understand procedures used for work assignments, instructions, recipe directions and diet order cards.
    • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

    Essentials:

    • Assists in food preparation and ensures dining room is ready for service
    • Daily interaction and conversation with residents while serving them meals
    • Cleaning duties
    • Be a friendly face, in this time of need, for our residents.
