Job description

A well-established boutique law firm in Alpharetta is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy insurance defense practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and enjoys managing the details that keep complex litigation matters moving forward. The firm offers a supportive culture, a flexible start time, and the opportunity to work remotely one day per week after the initial 60-day training period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Draft and format discovery requests and responses while maintaining accuracy and consistency
  • Organize exhibits, deposition materials, trial notebooks, and case files for hearings and trial preparation
  • Electronically file documents in state, federal, and appellate courts
  • Manage document production, including scanning, Bates stamping, copying, filing, and service of documents
  • Maintain attorney calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
  • Provide administrative and litigation support while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of litigation legal assistant or legal secretary experience, preferably in insurance defense or a related litigation practice
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and e-filing requirements
  • Excellent typing, proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with NetDocuments and/or Orion is a plus
