Job Summary

At HOOPP, we take a long-term approach to private capital investing and have a track record as a collaborative, long-term partner to businesses, their investors and other stakeholders. HOOPP Infrastructure ("HI"), the Infrastructure arm within Private Markets, was established in mid-2019 to support HOOPP's strategic plan, strengthen diversification, and generate strong risk-adjusted returns. Actively investing across various geographic markets (e.g. North America, Europe, Australia) and across the capital structure (e.g. common equity, structured equity, credit), HI focuses on delivering long-term stability and resilience to the Total Fund through direct investments, co-investments, and fund investments. Currently, HI manages over $7 billion in net asset value.

What you will do:

In this role, you will work closely with HI team members to meaningfully contribute to a broad scope of investment activities and operational strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review public, private, industry, economic and market information to share insights related to business models, sector dynamics, and investment theses across Infrastructure and the broader portfolio

  • Assist in due diligence efforts on potential direct, co-investment and fund investment opportunities, including developing materials to support internal investment approvals and contributing to cross-asset insights where relevant

  • Prepare analysis of key industry developments, incorporating macroeconomic, regulatory, and technological trends (including AI) and assessing implications for portfolio positioning and total fund outcomes

  • Contribute to the development of opportunity overviews and investment insights through the use of AI tools and data-driven research methods

  • Support special initiatives and strategic projects led by the Infrastructure team, including portfolio analysis, market mapping, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional initiatives aligned with HOOPP's strategic priorities

  • Support the development and enhancement of HOOPP Infrastructure's data and analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights and improve decision-making

  • Contribute to portfolio-level analytics, including aggregation of asset-level data, to support Infrastructure's role within the Total Portfolio Approach
