Job description

Supports the organization’s digital strategy and business operations by designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining secure, scalable web and mobile applications that improve the experience of members and employees. This role builds and supports internal and external digital platforms—including public websites, intranet, extranet, and digital banking applications—using Optimizely CMS/Commerce (DXP) and Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF, Razor, and ADO.NET, along with modern front-end frameworks including JavaScript, ReactJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS. Working in an Agile environment, the position collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, participate in architecture and design discussions, develop reusable components and APIs, integrate backend systems and databases (SQL Server and Oracle), and ensure applications meet performance, security, and quality standards.

This position is hybrid.

NYC Salary range: $105,468 - $135,168 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.


1. .NET Application Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade websites and applications using Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC, with preferred experience in Optimizely CMS/Commerce and Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
  • Build and support enterprise applications using n-tier architecture and established design patternswithin the Microsoft technology stack.
2. Front-End Development & User Experience
  • Develop responsive and accessible user interfacesusing JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, ReactJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive digital experiences.
  • Utilize design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suiteto support UI/UX design validation, usability testing, and iterative design improvements.
3. API Development & Systems Integration
  • Design and implement SOAP and RESTful APIsusing Microsoft technologies including WCF and ASP.NET Web API.
  • Integrate applications with backend systems and services using NET, OLE DB, and other enterprise data access technologies.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable system integrations across internal and external platforms.
4. Database Development & Data Modeling
  • Collaborate with database developers to support data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Contribute to database development tasks using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracleas required.
5. Agile Development & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage development activities using Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps, or other enterprise project management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Marketing and IT— including Project Management, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Database Administration—as well as onsite and offshore resources to ensure successful solution delivery, alignment with business objectives, and ongoing operational support.
6. Testing, Optimization & Development Standards
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and code refactoringto ensure high-quality and maintainable software.
  • Adhere to organizational coding standards, documentation requirements, and secure development practices.
  • Maintain accurate task tracking, code changes, and version control using Git or other enterprise source control systems.
7. Platform Support & Website Maintenance
  • Support and enhance internal and external digital platforms, including intranet, extranet, public websites, and digital banking applications.
  • Ensure applications meet availability, reliability, and performance standards in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for application-related issues and user requests.
  • Serve as backup administrator for Windows-based web serverswhen required.
8. Security, Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies related to data protection, cybersecurity, network security, and antivirus standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, system documentation, configuration documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Contribute to operational documentation and system runbookssupporting application environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science 
  • Knowledge of financial/banking industry
  • 3+ years of software development experience on the Microsoft technology stack.
  • 3+ years of backend development experience using C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and ADO.NET.
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience building responsive and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap (or similar frameworks).
  • Experience designing and implementing user-centric web applications, with a strong focus on usability and overall UI/UX experience.
  • 3+ years of database development experience using T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and consuming web services and APIs, including REST and/or SOAP using Web API or WCF.

  • Experience illustrating design concepts through storyboards, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and UI mockup
  • Experience implementing complex business workflows and enterprise application logic.
  • Knowledge of secure application development practices, including implementing security controls in .NET applications and web servers.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end development tools
  • Experience developing solutions using Optimizely CMS/Commerce or Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar libraries.
