We are looking for bright and motivated individuals to join our team as Business Development Representatives.   As a Business Development Representative, you will work closely with the marketing team and Sales Account Executives to identify and nurture net new sales opportunities.  You will build the foundation for Building Engines' future success by driving new sales opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting.

Job Description
  • Perform outbound target account profiling and prospecting
  • Diligently research prospect companies via websites, news sources, and CRM-documented activity
  • Ensure prompt and diligent follow-up to leads sourced from our marketing's outbound programs
  • Prioritize and follow-up leads sourced from our marketing automation platform (Marketo)
  • Effectively qualify opportunities based on understanding of Building Engines' unique strengths and target market
  • Map decision making unit members' challenges in order to build value around the Building Engines platform and our Unique Selling Points
  • Engage effectively with Commercial Real Estate executives (Owners, 3rd party operators, Property Managers, Chief Engineers) to communicate relevant Building Engines values
  • Develop deep knowledge of the Commercial Real Estate industry, and major companies within region and nationally
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, field sales, account executives, sales engineering, client advocates and management
  • Use Salesforce CRM to plan and document all activities

Qualifications
  • 4 year college degree
  •  Inside sales or customer service-related calling experience in a B2B environment a plus
  • Personable, outgoing and friendly with excellent active listening skills
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, assertive self-starter who is extremely organized and goal driven
  • Ability to learn and think quickly
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web-applications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Marketo is a plus
  • Experience/understanding of commercial real estate (in particular property management) is also a plus
