The Power Platform & Copilot Studio Administrator is responsible for the secure, scalable, and compliant administration of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio). This role owns tenant governance, environment strategy, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), license management, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy, and platform monitoring. The administrator partners closely with security, compliance, and business stakeholders to enable citizen development safely, standardize best practices, and ensure platform reliability and performance.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and enforce DLP policies for connectors and data classifications; regularly review exceptions and mitigate risk. Configure Copilot Studio policies including data grounding sources, prompts, plugins/actions, responsible AI guardrails, content moderation, and logging Administer Copilot Studio including setting up environments, security, channels (Teams, Web, Direct Line), data sources and implementing safety guardrails. Oversee licensing & capacity (per-user, per-app, pay-as-you-go, Copilot Studio credits, Dataverse database/file/log capacity), and forecast needs. Design and Implement ALM strategy for managed and unmanaged environments using pipelines and deployment automation Define standards and templates (solution structure, naming conventions, environments, connectors, data models) Partner with security and compliance to implement security requirements, protect sensitive data, and configure DLP settings *Enable citizen developers with guardrails, training, office hours, and standardized templates/componentsDevelop and maintain documentation: platform runbooks, standards, FAQs, and onboarding materials. Run periodic environment/app reviews and action admin notifications Review environment inventory, app/flow inventories, usage and activity, solution health Monitor service health, performance, and limits; proactively resolve incidents and collaborate with Microsoft Support as needed.
