Job description

Senior Software Engineer

Our client is an automated parking management and payments solution that is transforming the way real estate owners, tenants, and visitors interact with parking through technology-driven parking management. Today, the majority of paid parking facilities in the US rely on an outdated operations model powered by antiquated technology, human-centric labor, and insufficient data making them significantly more costly to operate per square foot than other assets. Vend replaces onsite administration and legacy technology with a fully digital solution that elevates the parking experience, reduces manual operations and costs by 30-50%, and increases net operating income.

Your Opportunity: This is your opportunity to help shape vision and strategy at an early stage venture and build revolutionary hardware and software solutions spanning technology, mobility, and real-estate. They have automated how people interact with parking real-estate by digitizing access, payments, and operations. Help us build the future and change what a parking location is capable of. Parking is every vehicle owners first and last interaction with their urban environment, and the entry point for a marketplace of services like EV charging, micromobility, auto repair, and more. If you are a tech evangelist and visionary thinker, consider joining us to change the world together.

  • Enable new use cases and experiences that make parking easier for drivers, such as new access solutions, dynamic rate boards, and self-help tools that get people in and out of the garage faster.

  • Use machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop more accurate license plate recognition, working with our partners to create an LPR solution focused on gated parking where cars are stopped as opposed to high-speed use cases that are commonly catered to by LPR vendors.

  • Work with our financial platform built on Stripe Connect, to make paying for parking easy and fast. Enable hardware tools that make collecting payment quick and secure.

  • Build robust and engaging experiences that drive more revenue to Vend locations and promote customer loyalty

  • Work closely with Ops team to understand different client needs and challenges to help shape our roadmap effectively

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working as a full-stack engineer with a focus on Android & Linux IoT devices, full-stack web development, and cloud technologies
