Overview

Meritas Digital is seeking an experienced, passionate Senior API Engineer to join our founding team as one of our first ten employees—a foundational role in building a world‑class technical consulting firm. You will guide our clients in identifying optimal integration solutions, then lead the hands‑on design, development, and implementation of elegant, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. As a key contributor to our early growth, you’ll shape our technical direction, mentor future hires, and help establish a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using C#/.NET.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and discoverable code using best practices.
  • Collaborate with front‑end developers, product managers, and clients to define API specifications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and system design for long‑term scalability.
  • Enhance existing APIs, improving code quality and performance.
  • Implement and maintain API security measures.
  • Contribute to front‑end development (Angular/React) as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven ability to write working software.
  • Proven ability to write highly discoverable and extensible software.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with Git and Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
