Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Help maintain and repair construction equipment, trucks, mixer trucks, including preventative maintenance work, hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding
  • May perform service repairs in the field
  • May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks/trailers, mixer trucks, construction equipment and crushing equipment
  • Complete all paperwork that may be necessary
  • Must have own journeyman hand tools, but knife river does provide large tools and has a replacement policy
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Hours: 2:00PM - 10:00PM Monday to Friday
Wage Range - $26.91-$47.11
Wage differential ($3) included for swing shift
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous mechanical experience on construction equipment, class 8 trucks and mixer trucks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Welding and fabrication experience desirable
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional and drug screen
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
