Job description

The Product Support Engineer serves as a key member of the EWI Product Support Team, providing technical, training, and fielding support for the EWPMT-V1 program. This role supports New Equipment Training/Fielding, integrates product support into the software development pipeline, and helps create and maintain technical manuals, training materials, and TRADOC Training Support Packages. The position requires extensive coordination with TRADOC organizations, support for Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD activities, and preparation of military briefings, reports, and fielding documentation. Frequent travel and hands-on support during system fielding, testing, and logistics operations are core components of the job.


  • Serve as a member of the EWI Product Support Team (PST) to gain proficiency in EWPMT-V1 / gain familiarization with the EWPMT-V1 ‘Pillars of Training’; directly reporting to the EWI PST Team Lead.
  • Support New Equipment Training (NET) / New Equipment Fielding (NEF) activities
  • Integrate EWI Product Support into the software delivery pipeline
    • Assist in the creation, development, review, validation, verification, and updating of EWPMT training materials
    • Assist in the creation, development, review, validation, verification, and updating of change pages to the EWPMT MIL-STD Technical Manual
    • Coordinate MIL-STD Technical Manual change pages with the EWI / CECOM matrix Tech Writer
    • Assist in the creation, development, review, validation, verification, and updating of the EWPMT TRADOC Training Support Packages (TSP)
  • Liaison with the T2COM / TRADOC New Systems Integration Branch (NSIB)
  • Coordinate with the NSIB to execute TRADOC TSP changes within the TRADOC Development Capability (TDC) System
  • Stay current on TRADOC Development and Instruction standards
  • Develop and update the EWPMT Community of Service page on Microsoft Teams
  • Monitor Mission Command Support Center (MCSC) trouble tickets
  • Incorporate lessons learned from NET/F and MCSC to enable modernization
  • Support Software Qualification Testing / Software Acceptance Testing
  • Support Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) activities
  • Support Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipeline activities
  • Prepare and deliver military type briefings
  • Prepare and deliver military type reports
  • Prepare administrative or acquisition related documentation
  • Develop, review, validate, verify, and update Materiel Fielding Plans
  • Assist with Total Package Fielding processes to include warehouse operations
  • Collaborate and interact with other team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Complete other duties assigned by the PST Lead

  • Minimum years of related experience: 7 years
  • Local APG commuting area; remote / telework negotiable if highly qualified
    • If not TDY, will be reporting to APG
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
  • Must have a U.S. Passport to travel TDY OCONUS
  • Experience can be a combination of applicable military experience in the following Military Occupational Specialties:
    • Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager
    • Electronic Warfare Officer / Technician
    • Field Artillery
    • Network Technician
  • Expert communication skills both verbal / writing
  • Expert interpersonal / teamwork / coalition building skills
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct independent research, prepare reports, and create presentations
  • Digital organizational skills (Microsoft Office / Teams or product data management tools)
  • Self-starter; self-motivator

Preferred:

  • System integration experience with military networks, Electronic Warfare Systems or Battle Command Systems (i.e. AFATDS, JBC-P, DDS, EWPMT, TLS-MP (Kraken / Beast+, TEWS)
  • Certification in the TRADOC Common Faculty Development-Developer Course (CFD-DC)
  • Certification in the TRADOC Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFD-IC)
  • Certification in the TRADOC Training Development Capability (TDC)
