Job description

Applications Developer

Position Summary: The Application Developer will join the Americas IT software and architecture team. This business centric IT team allows for business-focused software development of new solutions as well as integrating overall global/regional IT initiatives into the business. In this role, the developer will be responsible for business unit software development activities and best practices. This includes contributing to the development of business unit or region wide software focused on affordability, reusability, sustainability, and state-of-the art design. The role will function in an agile environment, being called upon to develop, maintain, and support applications that solve challenging business problems. The developer will collaborate with appropriate business unit/IT leaders or cross-functional teams to understand technological and business problems and deliver effective solutions. The developer should possess the ability to integrate the appropriate solution based on a set of business requirements.

  • Learn the core business to anticipate the needs of your users before they do.
  • Enhance, support, and maintain new and existing applications.
  • Stay abreast of new technology developments and actively contribute ideas for new projects.
  • Be a well-rounded, full-stack developer who knows when to use the right tools for each job.

Qualifications:

Basic: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3–7 years of relevant work experience Excellent query and design experience in an RDBMS environment such as SQL Server or Oracle. Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Experience with full ‑ stack web development, including front ‑ end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and server ‑ side components. Experience with Microsoft's.NET web frameworks, including ASP.NET, Web API,.NET Core/.NET 8+, MVC, and modern.NET 10 architectural patterns. Experience developing cloud ‑ native Azure applications using Functions, App Services, and other PaaS services. Must be able to interface with internal business partners, external vendors and customers from a variety of cultures and business backgrounds utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international) Ability to work independently and set aggressive personal goals.

Preferred: Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Blazor. Experience configuring and administering application hosting resources (e.g., VMs/IIS, Azure App Services, and related infrastructure). Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry or Dynatrace. Experience transforming legacy code to modern cloud applications.
