This position can be located anywhere in the United States, preferably in the vicinity of our Nes-Wes offices in either Brea CA. or Bristol PA.

Role Description:

The Application & Solutions Engineer will support the Application Engineering Teams goal of providing customers and NES-WES Sales Team the technical information needed for project development, quoting, and finalizing contracts. He/She will develop budgeting tools and proposals for projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of the onsite operators within the dedicated operational region NY/PA and Develop technical parameters and commercial proposals for project quoting.
  • Act of quality control for project budgets and proposals before being sent to customers.
  • Develop technical data for distribution to consultants and engineers.
  • Develop strategic relationships with balance of plant (BOP) suppliers.
  • Incorporate feedback from Engineering and Product Support into sourcing BOP vendors selection and design criteria.
  • Review RFPs for determination of equipment and BOP configurations to quote and develop comments/exceptions.
  • Assist in front end loaded engineering (FEL) Studies
  • Lead technical and economic modeling of microgrid technologies for end user sites.
  • Attend "lunch & learn" presentations at Key Accounts
  • Attend customer meetings with Business Development Managers as necessary

Qualification Requirements:

  • Electrical engineering degree would be preferred, Mechanical engineering or relevant industry experience would be considered
  • 4+ years of technical experience in relevant industry, preferably with engines
  • Technical and commercial leadership capabilities
  • Strong communication and listeningskills
  • Capability and willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work collaboratively & navigate across multiple matrix organizations
  • High motivation level, self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong negotiation skills - experience negotiating with customers, suppliers and different levels of management
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
