Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Outpatient Clinic
Location: (Goshen & New Windsor) NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Practice Setting: Outpatient Nephrology Clinic
Salary: $135,000 – $155,000 (DOE)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient nephrology team. This role focuses exclusively on clinic-based kidney care, providing comprehensive management of chronic kidney disease and related conditions in a collaborative, physician-supported environment with strong clinical autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions
  • Provide ongoing outpatient nephrology care and long-term disease management
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with nephrologists
  • Provide patient and family education on kidney disease progression, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
  • Coordinate referrals and care with other specialties as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation
  • Participate in outpatient quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active New York State NP license
  • National certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing
  • DEA license
  • Minimum 2 years of nephrology experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in outpatient nephrology or CKD clinics
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Strong EMR proficiency
