What does it mean to be Neo4j Certified?

Being Neo4j Certified means that you have demonstrated a foundational understanding of the Neo4j graph database, including its core concepts, Cypher query language, and practical usage. Certification is achieved by passing the official Neo4j Certified Professional exam, which covers topics like data modeling, querying, and basic database administration. This credential is recognized in the industry and can help validate your skills to employers or clients working with graph databases.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Neo4j Certified professional?

To thrive as a Neo4j Certified professional, you need strong graph database knowledge, Cypher query language proficiency, and experience with data modeling and integration—ideally supported by passing the Neo4j Certified Professional exam. Familiarity with Neo4j Desktop, Neo4j Aura, and relevant APIs or cloud platforms is typically required. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication are important soft skills for translating complex relationships into actionable insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams. These skills ensure you can design efficient graph solutions, optimize data retrieval, and deliver business value using graph technology.

What are the typical challenges faced by professionals working in Neo4j database roles, and how can they be addressed?

Job description

Partner Commercial Success Manager/Senior Manager

Neo4j is the graph intelligence platform that transforms data into knowledge to power the next generation of intelligent applications and AI systems. It includes enterprise-ready knowledge graphs for accurate, explainable, and governed AI; the most comprehensive, trusted, and easy-to-deploy graph capabilities across any environment and data source; and an unmatched ecosystem trusted by 84 of the Fortune 100 and supported by the world's largest graph community. Intelligence that works. Results that matter.

Built to work everywhere and integrate with everything across every cloud for dynamic, personalized, and autonomous AI systems. We deliver quicker results, contextual knowledge, and solutions that impact customers and employees across the business.

Partner commercial success manager/senior manager is responsible for structuring the required commercial collateral, supporting the adaptation of Neo4j's sales and technical content for IBM audiences, and delivering that training directly to IBM's sales and technical teams. This role will be key to translate Neo4j product knowledge into IBM-ready materials and programs, and is the day-to-day enablement contact for IBM field teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own IBM<>Neo4j sales collateral structure and content
  • Build and maintain a scalable IBM enablement curriculum — training materials, webinars, and documentation — that evolves with product enhancements and market needs
  • Adapt Neo4j content spanning product knowledge, technical skills, tools/platforms, and business processes to IBM audiences
  • Coordinate with SMEs (e.g., Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Industry experts, Support) to keep content accurate, current, and high-quality
Delivery & Cross-Functional Execution for Enablement of IBM<>Neo4j
  • Deliver/manage training, hands-on workshops, and tailored high-value partner sessions
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Product, and IBM partner management teams to align training with GTM and revenue priorities, and to build playbooks/collateral that help partners sell effectively
Measurement & Reporting
  • Track partner engagement, training completion, and enablement effectiveness
  • Document sessions and share clear takeaways/recommendations with internal stakeholders to improve future partner interactions
Success Metrics
  • Number of IBM sellers trained/certified
  • Time-to-readiness for newly enabled IBM teams/regions
  • Partner (IBM seller) satisfaction/engagement with enablement programs
  • Expansion of enablement coverage into new IBM business units or products
  • Joint pipeline generated (IBM-sourced or influenced)
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of experience in partner enablement, sales enablement, or training roles within enterprise software or SaaS
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enablement content for external audiences — partners, resellers, or alliances — not solely internal sales teams
  • Direct experience enabling global systems integrator or a hyperscaler alliance sales and technical organization; experience partnering with IBM is a plus
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills; comfortable leading live and virtual workshops for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to translate complex technical and product content into clear, role-specific enablement materials
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Support, and Partner Management teams
  • Strong program and project management skills; able to manage multiple content workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with enablement or LMS platforms and content-authoring tools (e.g., Seismic, Saleshood, Highspot, Articulate, or similar)
  • Willingness to travel as needed for in-person partner training sessions
