Job description

CDL Class A Driver / Material Handler — Drive With a Purpose

Sparks, NV | Full-Time | $27.24/hour

The Opportunity

Every route you run puts food on someone's table. Our client — a mission-driven nonprofit serving communities across Northern Nevada — is hiring a CDL Class A Driver/Material Handler to make deliveries and pickups throughout the region. This isn't hauling freight for a faceless warehouse; it's steady, local, home-every-night driving where your work directly feeds neighbors in need. If you want a paycheck AND a purpose, this is the seat.

Why You'll Love It

  • Local routes, home daily: Serve Northern Nevada — no long-haul, no overnights
  • Work that matters: Every delivery supports families in your own community
  • Steady schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • Solid, board-approved pay: $27.24/hour, full-time

What You'll Do

  • Make scheduled deliveries and pickups safely and on time across Northern Nevada
  • Provide excellent customer service to partner agencies, clients, and internal teams
  • Load and unload trucks; safely operate trucks, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks
  • Assist with warehouse tasks — fulfillment, receiving, shipping, replenishment
  • Train backup drivers on your routes and provide ride-alongs for staff
  • Complete accurate, timely route reporting; flag issues (maintenance, damage, customer service) to leadership
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal driving regulations and safety policies
  • Keep vehicles, warehouse, and delivery sites clean

What You'll Bring

  • Nevada CDL Class A with an excellent driving record
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year driving a commercial box truck (GVW under 26,000 lb)
  • Valid Nevada driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to navigate by map and GPS (Northern Nevada knowledge a plus)
  • Flexible schedule availability
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive team attitude
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs regularly and work in refrigerated units (below 30°F) and outdoor conditions
  • Preferred: 1+ year warehouse experience, electric pallet jack experience
  • Must be able to drive stick shift vehicle

Pre-employment background check and drug screen required. This is a safety-sensitive, drug-free workplace.

Drive trucks. Deliver hope. Apply today.
